I'm here. At Sir's. It's now my home too. I sold my home and made the move!
We have been talking about this for quite some time. One day I just upped and said, "I'm doing it." I wanted the process to be quick so I called a cash offer company. I got the quote that day and signed on the dotted line the next day. It's crazy that I had such a sense of urgency and then 'boom' Covid 19 starts to uptick.
I got here just as Covid-19 started really hitting and closures starting. All I wanted was to be able to make the long drive before the interstates shut down!
Sir was supposed to fly to my home 2 weeks before my closing date and then make the drive with me to help with the puppies. But, no way I wanted him in the airports and in a plane.
I self-quarantined for 2 weeks once I got here. It's not how we envisioned our first month to be. But, I am still SO elated to finally be here.
We are enjoying just spending the down time together.
It still feels surreal.
I hope all are staying healthy and safe.

Keep Listening
I know at
times it doesn't seem possible. I know it seems like this is your fate. But,
things can be better. You can survive. More than that you can live. What you
thought would never happen - will. It will. You make a step one day and finally
that
step will work. It will start you in the right direction. And then step
by step you will begin to leave that consuming dark hole - that shroud of
hopelessness and despair. You will start to say "I'm going to be
okay." And then will come THE day. The day you thought would
never arrive. The day you thought could never arrive. The day you
thought was just not meant for you. The day will come when you believe it. The
day you know "I am okay.” It will happen. And you will have survived it.
You have survived.
You may say
"but you don't understand, you don't know what it is like." You are
right. Everyone’s fight is unique to them. Everyone’s battle is personal. What torments
you is not what torments others. What is
common is the belief it cannot change.
You may
think these words are empty. To you right now they may make the hurt sear. They
may pierce you in the place of sorrow that consumes because you have believed
you are excluded from their hope. The words may anger you. Their promise
seeming like a cruel false hope that taunts you. The sadistic ritual meant to
show how cut off from their offered release. You may not even hear the words.
Their silence the same as the unanswered pleas for rescue.
But, please
keep listening for them. Because one day you will hear their whisper and you
will turn to hear them. And you will take a step closer to hear them more
clearly. And finally that step will work.

Visiting Sir
I'm visiting Sir. I've actually been here since just after Christmas. I'm staying an extended time actually. Sir had surgery so I came to spend time with him while he recovered.
He is fine and recovering well. One of the first things Sir asked at his 2 week follow-up visit was if he was cleared to play tennis and he was given the go ahead.
I drove here so I have no set time I have to return home. And I am not working right now so the timing is perfect for me to be here and help out. He is going to have a hard time getting me back in that car to drive home. He may have to go through a formal eviction process! It has been wonderful to spend this much time together.
He was at my home for 17 days in November. We are approaching a month for this trip. It is heaven to me!
The weather has finally cleared up here in "the sunshine state" so we are getting to spend some time outdoors now. We also have my puppy who is so full of energy and she needs to get some outdoor time. Sir doesn't have a fenced in back yard so she can't just roam like she does at my home. Plus, Sir has a pond in his backyard that I'm not sure we could trust her to not splash right into!
Sir is so good with the puppy. I told his friends the other day that he was puppy-whipped!
There is actually nothing whipped about Sir. Except maybe his "real" whip. Oops! Maybe I shouldn't bring up that subject again or I might end up the one who is whipped - for real.

Happy Birthday to Us
Hello friends.
This will be short and quick. But very very cute.
Today is my birthday. Tomorrow is Sir's birthday. How crazy is that -- one day apart?
I just had to share the birthday card Sir sent me. It is so perfect!

I am still working crazy hours. Will be until mid-June. I ache for Sir so much, but he will be here at the end of June for a 10 day visit.
And...we will start getting have longer visits soon. I am so excited about that.

Once in A While
Sir and I did a little shopping this weekend. We found this at at one of those chain craft stores. Simple, but so true. And so lovely.
We have been so fortunate to be able to visit almost every other weekend. We might have some difficulty keeping that for the next 3 months. I work in the Capital Projects Dept. at my company. We have a project coming on line soon and our window for completion is 60 days. Our entire team is going to work twelve hour days -- on-site. It may be that I have to work 13 and 1. Thirteen days on and one day off. My role really doesn't require that I be on-site, but that's what has been decided so that we show a complete commitment to the event as a team. There is also a 30 day period to begin some "pre-work." That 30 day period starts this Friday. Oh...and we have a vacation freeze for those 90 days.
Sir left this afternoon and we really have no idea what March will look like as far as visits. That put a different kind of yuck in my stomach when I dropped him off at the airport.

We're Still Here
I'm going to visit Sir this weekend. I get to visit just about every other weekend it seems. Sir is coming to Texas for Thanksgiving. It's his first visit here in a while.
It never seems to be enough though. Sir says I'm greedy. I guess I am. I want him all the time. It's difficult. He wants me to see the glass half full. I do. It's half full of time I don't get to be with him. lol. I thought I was a very clever good girl for agreeing the glass is half full. He does make it happen though -- the visits. He's wonderful for that. He's wonderful for a lot of things!
I love him. Sometimes I just get lost in the wonder of that. I lived such a very long time with just me. And now I can't imagine life without him.
We're still here. We both seem to have dropped off the Blogasphere, but we are still here.

Speaking of Gifts
I kinda have this knack for gift giving. Maybe it can't be called a "knack" since it is purposeful. I listen with the intent of knowing what gift to give someone. Who knows why I do this. I just really like to see that joyful surprise on someone's face when they open a gift they really like.
As I mentioned, though, in my last post, this is more than difficult to do for Sir. He really does have anything he wants. Even though I can't get him a specific gift, I do generally know what he likes to do to me. So he gets lots of things with which we can experiment. My body being the experiment, that is.
That being said, Sir doesn't think his good girl likes butt play. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I always stop it because it makes me feel like I have to go. Enough said about that, but is this a common reaction? I would like to know.
Well, good girl had to do something to show Sir she really does like butt play.... How better than with a gift? Sir was flying in on Friday, so I had to be sure the gifts arrived before he did. I sent Sir a teaser on Wednesday when the first package arrived. I texted Sir a screenshot of the delivery notice and asked "what could be in that package?" Sir didn't know. He hadn't sent me anything.
After telling him I knew what was in the package and that it was a surprise for Sir, we had to just wait until Friday.
I'm not sure if Sir likes surprises, but he can usually guess a gift from his good girl is something he will enjoy using on me. I had the boxes prominently staged so they couldn't go unnoticed.
Needless to say it was not long before we were in the bedroom testing out Sir's new toy. Sir's review is that, "That's just a great toy. It's lets you do two things at once."
Sir is flying home in the morning so I'm trying to finish up this post before we head to bed. I look up into the kitchen as Sir has just come in to get a glass of water. What do I see, but him pick up a wooden spatula I used earlier while scrambling eggs. He looks at it from a few angles and says, "oh, there are a couple of things this is good for." Just throw my hands up and say, "I surrender." Which is point, in truth.

5 Holes
Sir has mentioned a couple of times the gifts he has received recently. I thought I'd share a picture of one of them.
April was our 5th Anniversary. That seems so completely impossible. I can think of no better way to express it so I'll just fall to cliche and say sometimes it feels like it was not that long ago and others that I've know Sir for such a long long time.
Sir lacks for nothing. I finally got him to admit he has a wish list. It's very short. Only one item actually. He would love to have a home theater room. Since it is unlikely I could fulfill that wish, I have to depend on baser wishes of Sir. That is things he loves to do to me.
It 's hard to tell what Sir loves best.
Is it to torture my nipples? At times, it feels it is so.
Marking my breast? Definitely could be.
That damned wheel-y thing? It's probably a contender. Sometimes I think he likes it so much because I hate it so much. Either way, I'm not that much of a masochist to feed anything close to that wish.
Binding me? It's up there.
Spankings? No question. Probably tops the list. Evidently I need spankings in the morning to "start your day off right." Spankings at night "so you can sleep better." And spankings sometime in between. Those in between spankings have a less than clear justification. In fact, I need spanking so much, says Sir, that it is difficult to imagine how I can even function when he is not here to administer all those "necessary" spankings.
So no question that Sir likes giving his good girl spankings. So I figure I can't go wrong with a spanking gift. The options seemed endless. Some I ruled out easily. Those with imprints like "SLUT" -- definitely not me. Some look like the imprint of a boot. Definitely not Sir. Something out there for everyone. Then I saw this one. It honestly looked daunting. Pretty darn hefty. But, the 5 holes???? Perfect for a 5th Anniversary. Decision made.
True to its looks. It is daunting, hefty andperfect has 5 holes. It certainly packs a punch. And despite the agreement I thought we reached about harder spankings, or more pain in general, but a shorter duration, I still get 100 swats per cheek -- minimum. M.I.N.I.M.U.M. I don't believe that jives with the deal I thought we struck. Needless to say, Sir enjoys the gift. Other than his hand and the crop, it's pretty much been his tool of choice for my bottom.

These

And if this

Bait and Switch
I've said it (more than) once and I'll say it again: He did not tell me the truth. I asked upfront if he was a sadist. His answer was, "no." Hmph.
I can always hear it in his voice when he starts talking about what he wants to do to me on my next visit. Well, that visit is now!
We tried something different this time. Instead of flying in on Friday morning, I took a late night Thursday flight. The plane arrived at around 11:00 pm and then a about a 30 minute drive home. I wasn't sure how we would both do with those hours -- me leaving straight from work and him driving to the airport that late. Thursday is one of his "long" work days. But, we both feel it worked out okay. We have an extra night together and I don't have to get to the airport at 4:30 Friday morning and half the day be gone by time I get there. Almost unrelated tangent...I've been flying through Nashville instead of Atlanta. I really like Nashville's airport. It's different. Feels cozy. I love Sir's airport. There is always (well...seldom not there) a guy in the lobby playing the piano. It is wonderful. I'm amazed everytime I arrive.
Okay...onto the relevant part. The flight got in a little late so it was close to midnight when we got home. <<<<Backup a bit. I, as noted, was hesitant about the late night flight so Sir assured me of the advantages. Also previously noted. To further assure me, he said when I got here we could go right to bed....after a "little" play time.
Please reference post title and intro sentence.
It was classic bait and switch!!! When will I ever learn? Evidently never!!!
So we got home around midnight and by 12:45 a.m. (that's 12:45 AM, mind you) I am already so sore I can't stand to be touched. Do you think a person who commits chronic Bait and Switch would stop touching me then? Simply stated, NO! He was getting quite a kick out of me almost hitting the ceiling every time he ran his finger down my slit.
Sadist. Bait and Switch Sadist.

Only Because I Hold You in the Highest Regard, Jane Austen has nothing on me!
Sir is still battling this pesky sickness. It's hard seeing him feel this way. I'm going to continue the current path of treatment though and give him multiple doses of TLC per day.
I woke up this morning, as is usual, to him stroking my back. I love waking up next to him. His hands are so warm. It feels amazing waking up to those warm hands touching me. I nestle up next to him and we spoon. It's like there is a place created just for me to cozy up beside him.
I normally love snuggling up into that special little cranny. This morning though I had the task of telling Sir a difficult thing.
So instead of snuggling up in my cozy spot, I kinda sat up and said the thing that had to be said.
We laugh a little. Snuggle some more. And, because I made my protests known, we are heading directly to the shower. Or so I thought.
Instead I feel his arm get a little tighter and simultaneously my body is tilted a little to the side. I feel the chill of the room on my backside as he lowers the covers from around me.
I settle into this new place beside him.

Sir, I have to tell you something. And it is only because we have the deepest bond of love and affection that I can say this, but it is time WE take a shower. It might be good if WE brush our teeth too!
What? You don't like the smell of my pheromones? At this point I have my face buried in my pillow and emphatically shaking my head "No!"

No. I have a few things planned and then we'll shower.

Warming Her Backside
Happy New Year!
My Sir is so sickly, but I arrived last night to provide him with some TLC. He is busy right now writing a blog for work. That has afforded me some time to peruse the interwebs for one of my new fascinations. Springerle molds. I blame Delta Airlines for my new vice. The cookies they give out on flights are amazingly tasty -- and addictive. I wanted to make these for Christmas cookies this year -- so started the google chase.
Turns out the recipe for those Delta cookies, Speculaas, is hard to pin down. I found a lot of variations to the recipe. But, what I did find in my googling were Springerle molds.
Oh. My. Heavens. These things are works of art. The tally in my "Shopping Cart" increased significantly today!
The one below, though, was the most delightful to date. If I had not read the caption first, I would have had no clue what the picture was depicting. It was really just the title though that made me laugh out loud. Sir wanted to know what was funny so I covered the title and asked him to guess the name of this cookie mold.
Well...Sir saw a lady with her derrière backed up to large upright object so he thought it was some kind of erotic Pompeian artifact.
First. Seriously? His first thought was, "Is that a giant cock?" Nope.
Second. Good news. Sir is on the mend. He is acting more like his risqué self.
Third. Seriously his first thought was, "Is that a giant cock?"
Anyways, it was something much less ribald. But still, he had a few good things to say about it.
Ladies and maybe a Gent or two...I give you "Warming Her Backside"

Blink
It's amazing how quickly lives can fuse. How quickly it changes from the moment of meeting them to the point of them being in every breath you take.
It's amazing how deep two souls can go. How the point in time of never knowing them becomes blurred by the intimacies of seemingly having known them forever.
It's amazing the extent to which someone can touch you. How many things become a reminder of times spent together or secrets shared.
It's amazing how wholly someone can own you. How you wonder what was once in those spaces they now control.
It's amazing how much love wants to hold on. How it hopes it never fails.
It's amazing how quickly things can go.

Redecorating
A couple of weeks ago, I was shopping at the local Home Goods store. Love, love, love that place! As I was walking to the register, I noticed a section of wall art that was all coastal or beach themed. Well...since Sir lives in Florida this caused a huge surge of inspiration. Sir's house (or a least parts of it) needs to be redecorated in this theme! Yes! I told Sir and he seemed amenable to the idea.
Being the studious person that I am I took the next step and made a point to begin the google search of coastal themed decor. I found so many beautiful things. So many possibilities! My excitement was growing with each new possibility I found.
Until I was stopped cold.
By this.
A paddle headboard?
Are you serious?
Maybe Sir's bedroom is fine as it is. ;-)

Where I Need To Be
Sometimes where I need to be is right there. Nestled against his chest. Feeling his arms around me. Hearing him whisper in my ear. Feeling his warmth.
Sometimes I feel so small. So broken. So needy. All I think of doing is cuddling up in his lap. And feel his comfort. Feel the re-assurance of being his.
Sometimes I feel like that little girl. So scared. So helpless. All I can think of doing is melting into him. And asking, "Sir, please hold my hand."
Feeling particularly weak lately. Feeling alone. Feeling so out of control. Spiraling into a not so good place. I knew I couldn't ground myself. Knew if I let it continue, it could end up hurting us. Finally, I asked. Sir, please hold my hand.
Sir J recently wrote a post about the intimacy of holding hands. It so beautifully portrays how I have been feeling.

Dismantled
There is something quite dismantling about love.
Tired of Speaking Sweetly
Love wants to reach out and manhandle us,
Break all our teacup talk of God.
If you had the courage and
Could give the Beloved His choice, some nights,
He would just drag you around the room
By your hair,
Ripping from your grip all those toys in the world
That bring you no joy.
Love sometimes gets tired of speaking sweetly
And wants to rip to shreds
All your erroneous notions of truth
That make you fight within yourself, dear one,
And with others,
Causing the world to weep
On too many fine days.
God wants to manhandle us,
Lock us inside of a tiny room with Himself
And practice His dropkick.
The Beloved sometimes wants
To do us a great favor:
Hold us upside down
And shake all the nonsense out.
But when we hear
He is in such a "playful drunken mood"
Most everyone I know
Quickly packs their bags and hightails it
Out of town.

Landing on Earth
Apparently, I fell off the face of the earth.
I haven't posted since February -- right before Sir's 2nd visit. Well, technically 3rd. But, who's counting, right?
Well, I am again. Counting, that is. Sir will be here again next week. I can't wait to be with him again.
Maybe we'll make it to the beach this time. Actually, we did go last time, but it was so cold we had to bundle up. And...I walked along the jetties in flip flops. Wasn't a good idea. I twisted my ankle. Not a very fun walk along the beach. At least not the romantic kind of walk we've both imagined. It was in the 70s here today so here's hoping it holds out for next week as well.
I have friends staying with me the next couple of days. I will be glad to see them. Haven't seen them since July.
As much as I love my friends and will be so happy to be spend time with them, I still feel a little sad. Broken-hearted almost. Because I will not get to spend as much with Sir in the evening. We talk every evening. He puts me to bed every night. I feel teary-eyed when I even think about having to miss that.
Who knew such a wonderful Sir could turn me into a puddle of sentimental goo.
